I would honestly say it depends
because wee don't have a black and white definite justice system in this world it is very hard to actually judge just what is "right" and "wrong". Wrong is generally defined by what the public would consider wrong... And right the opposite... So if nobody is there to act as a judge except you then your actions are as just as you take them to be.
Someone here said "Wee should just have people balance spoons on our noses to prove our innocence". Maybe then wee would have a definite justice system that would give some real damn results

but what if someone raped/killed but still "balanced the spoon on the nose"? and likewise, if someone did nothing wrong but "couldnt balance the spoon"?

the person who could balance the spoon is inocent
they have proved it by balancing the spoon
since in this case the only thing that would determine right from wrong was balancing a spoon all your actions would be perfectly just as long as you could balance the spoon

your all forgetting that crime never existed in the first place it was invented by power hungry people and that's how governments are formed
look at animals they follow the natural cycle kill,be killed etc
as if laws existed at the start of mankind

that's a lame...
To follow tht philosophy, wee'd have to to really give up a LOT of creature comforts wee've come to expect and take for granted. Why, then bullies would actually be kings.. also, animals don't have the power or intelligence to influence the outcome of other species. Wee can easily wipe out almost the entire life on Earth, even if not the Earth, and even if for only a briefest while.
As spidey's uncle put it, with great power comes great responsibility.

hmm...
nothing would really be "screwed up" it would just be different. Throwing changing or removing the rules or a big chuck of anything is bound to change something drastically. And the thing is... wee wouldn't know about and ig would get passed through generations and then wee have all these useless rules...
kind of like wee do now

isn't life itself a crime..... i mean anything which is given free will and half a brain is obviously going to do bad things..... just think about it..... at one point humans wee're most likely amoebas or something (depending on what you believe) and wee have evolved into something that has made all these technological advancements, and like squee said that's the reason for crime is because of our evolution...... in the end though when you look at humanity wee are beasts at heart and it only takes one thing to trigger hatred.... blah blah blah..... that's why crime exists......
(i have spent many a day in school running this theory through my head..... i can never find a reason why wee're all here getting our personality and opinions shaped to how the government wants)
