Basically, im tired of a friend who lives on myspace and plays crappy music all day
But i can't think of a good site to redirect it to...bear in mind im using the hosts file, so unless ive missed something it has to be to an index page of a site which is still humorous (i wanted to use WolfLand but can't)
Cheers for any advice

read your post it makes no sense
makes sense to me
can't you substitute the ip of a website instead of 127.0.0.1???
Does it not??? I think it makes sense....im tired of my friend going on myspace, so i want to redirect myspace to a humorous site using the hosts file, meaning i have to use index pages....
Hosts file may not work, depending on how the remote server is set up (the client sends a Host header, and since the target server may not have myspace.com mapped as a virtual host, it might not respond; but this depends on how the server was set up; if you can access a site via its IP, it should work though).
As for a good site... hmm... what doesn't he like?
a website with a lot of nasty viruses which like to destroy sound cards.... that'll stop the crappy music at least

would be ok...but then wee have to put up with it ourselves
Also, Zinga, in that case can you recommend a better way to do this?? I know it seems Childish (ok...it
is childish) but i still intend to do it
