yo, I suggest, u dun install AMD64 version of ubuntu, cause, not all 32bits apps has been ported to 64bit just yet.....
and I have been using ubuntu for 2 yrs now... it is 1 of the best distro around.....
Fedora is cool, but I dun like rpm and is too heavy... :P
Doesn't the 64 bit version emulate 32 bit apps? Like Windows 64 bit versions (uses WoW [not World of Warcraft, lol] to emulate 32 bit apps).

not quite... cause, Ubuntu / Debian isn't using multi-arch, so for some apps, you may need to bang ur head to the table. (like wine).. ;) but most of the stuffs u need should have 64bits version... :P but if you do need 64bits Ubuntu, the first thing u should install is automatix... ;)
Double postwell, also... Fedora or SUSE is good for 64bits, cause, they have multi-arch system
ooo im on ubuntu now ... im loading it off the cd.. its not too bad..
going to have to playaround with it ;P
i want to use ubuntu but what's the diffrence between them? (windows & ubuntu)
ill just get ubuntu the livecd and if i don't like it completely ill get fedora live cd and see which is better
I had fedora, and I can tell you that I liked Ubuntu as much if not more.
Hmm... I'm getting the 64 bit from that torrent you just posted at an average of 600 KB/s.
