well i recently bought one and very soon after (before even putting music)
i jailbroke it.
it took me multiply tries, i even bricked it a couple times...
but i finally got it, after looking at dozens of different tuts and guides.
now i have all these apps. some are crappy some are good.
there are games, books and all sorts of things now its just a matter of sorting through them all..
but oddly some apps don't work, i assume those were made for the iphone...
so who else has hacked theirs?
was it hard for you?
what apps do you use?
what are your favs?
did you expand your dock to 5?

make sure you have enough memory on your "other-drive" or some programs just won't run!
Use "Boss tool" for making some free space.. it will link the font-files into the "music-memory".. then you can enjoy your programs, sir :)
but to be honest i don't use much homebrew on my iPod.. It's boring if u ask me.. was cool for one week and then got boring.. anyways i use it like everyday for music :> i like the music-library alot!

yeah i did use the boss tool thing.
the music library is awesome! im getting all the album arts actually, so it'll look sweeter
i have wifi at work so i will be on this all the time at work...

yeah, its like perfect.. no laggs, no loading times! all covers are loaded in less than a second :> and yep its looking sexy :D
I also hacked mine, though I never updated it, it's still on Firmware 1.1.1 xD

mine was at 1.2.1 i think and that's how i kept bricking..
i had to update to 2.0.1 first.
i can't believe people pay for a firmware..
Say, do I miss something for not being on 2.0.1? it's a first Gen Touch.

nah, you don't miss anything.. 2.0 just has the APP store.. if you like that stuff, you should update since the installer is not supported anymore
