EA games have pissed me off for years and i have sworn dozens of times to their crappy 'technical support' who has never given me a working fix for any of my problems :(

Do you need to provide some identification when you register at the EA games forum, or is it linked to your multiplayer account or something?
generally you have a master account a subaccounts called "Personas" for each game you play

at least last time I checked
why would you even want to use thier chocolatety forums, you could just come to EP

Ugh, EA is just digging a grave for themselves, and this may have been the last nail in their coffin, but thankfully (for them) it's just a rumor. Their douche baggery is starting to rival that of Microsoft's.
