So recently, I've become totally obsessed with CSI: Miami. It comes on, I just can't look away. I am physically unable to change the channel.

Also, I'm finally getting the financial aspect of my life all set up. First off, I got all of my money out of the sinking failboat that is Washington Mutual. Yes, it was bought out by a much more financially secure bank, but banks by their very nature are gonna all fail eventually. That's why I got all of my money in America First Credit Union. Credit unions, because of the way they work, will never, ever go under as long as people have accounts with them. Every open account is a share of the company.

Along with transferring my money, I also started building my credit. I opened a $500 line of credit as overdraft protection on my checking account, and I got a $500 credit card. Here's my fool-proof plan: I leave the line of credit untouched for emergencies, and buy everything on the credit card, then immediately pay it back. If I keep it up, paying it all on time, I'll have excellent credit in barely a few months.

Anyway, other than that, life's good. I've broken 20lbs on my diet, and I'm feeling really good.

Live long and prosper, bitches!

Wow :/ I wish my life was going as good as yours at the moment......although I have the London EXCEL Anime/Manga Expo to look forward to on saturday :P
you have to pay off credit for at least 6 months. Other wise your credit doesn't change. I learned the hard way. I would also buy something with credit and then immediately pay it off in a couple of months. Then i saw that my credit limit and my credit score did not change. Then a bought a 42 inch LCD tv and paid it off in 8 months. My credit limit went all the way up to 7,000. And my Credit score sky rocketed to the high 700's.

So you mean you have to like buy big things, and pay them off? Or is it 6 months regardless? And does more spending and on-time pay-off make it even better?
It means getting some credit history. It doesn't matter  how "big" of stuff you buy. Another tip is to never use more than 50% of your credit limit. The best thing to do is to get credit history and credit companies view anything over 6 months of payments as credit history. Don't MISS A PAYMENT!!!.

Aaaaahhhhh. I see. I actually have it set up to automatically take payments from my checking account, so I'll definitely stay current lol
