mavxboxballer Wrote:I have a slim PSP with 3.71 CFW.  I need a ac power cord to keep it on then it turns off every 5 minutes.  I tried to update the CFW, but it doesn't have enough "battery life". I havent opened my psp slim. If i use another power cord it does the same thing. I tried getting a new battery...but it does the same thing.  I need help!!!

This is a member of my site and im totally lost as to what to say to him, i think he some how shorted his power board... but im no expert at the insides of psp's, can anyone help ?
Well, since he has cfw, I would suggest to him to try Key Cleaner first.
(corrupted ID Storage can cause some weird stuff to happen...)

If that's not it, it is obviously some sort of hardware problem.
He could buy a broken "parts" PSP off E-Bay, but that would require opening his PSP...

If he isn't very tech savvy, and doesn't want to open it up -
Then I would sell his on E-Bay and make back what he can off it toward a new one...
alright thanks I'll tell him
chilly willy's app what about rebuilding it with DC7 ?
I guess it's worth a try, but I would try cleaning ID Storage, before trying to regenerate one...
ok I'll come back with his results thanks for the help
can anybody help me here please
he still has a problem, he asked me to pass this on

Did he restore his battery? (have never used Pandora, so dunno what it exactly does, but I remember reading that you have to restore the original IPL or something (or maybe some of the newer IPLs work around that) to continue using it as a battery).

You can update using the battery level check bypass key combo (forgot what it was exactly, but I hold down L+R+Up+Triangle+Square (it's one of those) and it works).

I'm guessing the battery's screwed though.
