Grrrr...Ok, been having issues with the found new hardware wizard, and tried to disable it.  Honestly can't remember what I did or how I got there, happened last night and I didn't think too much about it.  Anyway, did something, bad things happened, undid it, but somehow, I didn't have full admin permissions to install programs.  I'm running as admin, but haven't found any restrictions on me.  Googled the problem, and came up with a changed registry key: HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer \disableMSI.  I modified the value from 2 to 0, and I seem to have full access to everything again, but I'm not entirely sure what I did or if its gonna blow a hole in the earth.  Did I just tell mah computer to divide by zero?  Is this the right way to make sure I have full access, or should I look elsewhere?
System policies are fine to fiddle with (IMO).  Changing the key is equivalent to editing it through the Group Policy Editor (gpedit).  Just make sure you don't edit it to be more restrictive :P

I'd keep watching if I were you.  If it doesn't, something will.

Unfortunately, computers can divide by zero - they just don't give you a result...
Ahh, thanks.  And yeah, I'll keep an eye on it, if anything is gonna blow a hole in the earth, I don't want to be at the epicenter.
