I didn't blow him away, and wee didn't continue the arguing. He just told me that it was nothing personal, and I responded that it will always be personal, but I'll never share his beliefs.

Err.. how would you know he wasn't talking about YOU and HIM rather than YOUR and HIS beliefs??

No offense man, but I wouldn't of put fire wood on that dying flame....

What I mean is, as long as he and I are father and son, it will always be personal. Everything is. He wasn't talking about me and him, he actually came to tell me that our religious argument was nothing personal, then followed that he knows more than me and he knows how my life will go, that I'll eventually have some giant "A-HA" moment and "find Jesus and get to know him for who he truly is." And that's when I told him what I said in the first post.
