Yes. the 'Digital Audio' bit is just a marketing term aimed to grab the attention of someone who wants to burn mp3s and is looking for some media to do it.

The only small difference between the two is that the music industry of America gets a small cut from the sale of music cd-r's.

Yep. My father has a audio cd recorder (the set top kind that plugs into your reel to reel, etc) and it will only work with audio cd-r's.

Just another way the RIAA screws the world.

The Recording Industry Association of America. They have their tentacles in other countries as well, and there is a UK equivalent, though the name escapes me at the moment.
