Actually, learn typesetting.
Being a graphic artist, typesetting is probably something that will interest you more than timing.
I question how the timer, typesetter, and translator will feel when they have been replaced...

The problem is that SenSky has no translator, (and also no timer and typesetter as of now).
They would have half an anime series done by now if there was a translator.

If you want to learn timing, I can link you to some guides I've found + the Aegisub manual. For typesetting, just read the Aegisub manual for a start. For encoding, I'm afraid most of the non-basic stuff has no guides on them (an you probably know all the basic stuff already), you will have to figure out yourself. As for translating, I can't help you at all.
