Can anyone tell me how much money Google donated to Mozilla last year alone? That alone will tell you why FF is dependent on Google.

He also mentions the fact of it being slower, when it surpasses both Firefox and IE in speed.

Also wrong again SS, how powerful the base is will decide it's success. The reason everyone uses Firefox is because of it's base; the ability to build on it. Gears will allow Chrome to grow just as powerful as Firefox.
Noob-friendly is right. The beta comes with limited customization and options. It's a demo of the technology. But again what's great about the base of chrome is developers can easily add anything wee need. The noob friendly interface leaves out all the spoon you'd never use and allows you add what you will use.
imagine the stir a Beta browser has caused.. if nothing else, this is marvelous..
IE more than anything will be hit the most

Granted, but because of the way Mozilla works, and competition fighting based on branding, the less Google seen, the better - funding from other companies is very likely if they want to make sure the Google brand doesn't take over the Browsing arena - which connects to the obvious relevence - the Internet. Yahoo should be afraid this move.

Often, that is not the case at all with Google - since GMail was rolled out, there have been code improvements, but features? *shakes head

A Beta to Google is to what it is to Mozilla - a pre-RC.
Kuu Wrote:@Goshi- after reading your post, it's obvious you have no idea how Google and Mozilla are connected and how powerful the base of Chrome is.

True enough, my opinion is only based off brief information. For one I can't really say what Chrome is really like since I have yet to actually try it myself but I would think my assumptions are pretty good =/

You did missed this misinterpret this line though
Quote:I'm not sure how Chrome is with security and speed.

I never stated Chrome being slower as a fact. Only as an assumption.
My bad about misinterpreting.
