Well, I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind being able to use supernatural powers.  The thing is, how much effort would you really be willing to put in for it?

Let's say, it takes 5 years of hard training to be able to move small objects with your mind.  Would you still go for it?
I practice everyday...
since I was seven...

I can do nothing...

I hate you god.
I would. 5 years is nothing compared to a life time of powers.
I'd settle for Geass.
As long as i got it shortened down into a montage i would be quite happy to :P

Nah..honestly...i think i would take the chance. If it was offered to me, as well as what yoyo said, its a once in a lifetime opportunity, and, once you were at that stage i would imageine that improving your skills by yourself would be quicker/easier from then on in
yes I would.

Look at it this way. Wee study like 12-18 years (maybe even more) of our life away so wee can secure ourselves a position in the future.

Having magic WILL secure you a much better position in the future (if you're the only guy in the world with magic, money shouldn't be a problem for the rest of your life, legally or illegally. There's fame and power too if you want it). And it only takes 5 years.

Wrong wee spend 12-18 years (maybe even more) of our life so that wee can conform to a system where wee give up our power so wee can't fight back.
So how long are you willing to spend then?  If you'd do it for 5 years, how about 10?  20?
Is everyone avoiding this:

How freakin small? If its just a coin, fudge that, it would be CONSIDERABLE if it was a can of coke or reasonably worth-to-move item....
I reckon eventually I would get bored....

If you think about it although wee spend our child hood in schools learning, wee learn all different kindsa stuff and improve.
