Endless Paradigm

Just now something scary happened.....

before I went to school this morning I put my iTouch in my pocket as always.
Since I didn't had a chance to hear music today it was there the whole time turned off.
Now when I took it out it was REALLY hot and as I turned it said 10% battery remaining...
I turned it off again for it to cool down and now it's charging again....

Anyone know what could've happened?

you turned it on in your pocket?
It could be hot because pockets offer poor ventilation
and it would be at 10% because its been on in your pocket all day

Well of course it could have turned on by accident but I hadn't my jacket on my hands since 3:30pm and when I took it out now it was definitely turned off since I could turn it on... duh.... and I doubt it could maintain this heat for hours... somehow this reminds me of the boy whose PSP "exploded" in his pants while turned off....

...perhaps it auto shutoff after the battery got low.
as for that kid. My psp has turned on in my pocket before. I hit the button because I forgot to lock it

maybe wifi was still on..
it gets hot then PLUS it remains while the iTouch is off : )

No ventilation + metal back?

your ipod will get hot cause of the metal back and the battery life going down is because you might have left too many apps running or wifi running or both. It has happend to me once before
