Endless Paradigm

to install mybb i need to make the chmod of:
./inc/settings.php
./uploads
./uploads/avatars
./cache
./cache/themes
666 instead of 766 which they are now but when i change them to 666 and say apply it won't apply it and stays at 766!!! i don't get an error message r n e thing i just can't change it and install myBB :(
can n e one help?

Make sure you own the files or that you can change their attributes.

Or try running that command as root or with "sudo" if applicable.

i can change them to practically everytin except 666 so i can change them just not 2 that for som weird reason :(

never mind it still won't go 2 666 but 777 works so its fine :D
