Endless Paradigm

Well I found my way to the Personal Threads section again, I would like to hear some opinions on my matter...

Basically 3 or 4 years ago I played Ragnarok Online on a P-Server for a long time and I found out that the Admin was a nice girl around my age (yeah she's really a girl and not a G.I.R.L.), well wee got to know each other better, chatted,  skyped, exchanged photos and so on.
Even after her server went down wee stayed in touch on a daily basis.

Eventually I began to like her more and more over the 4 years and I think the also likes me me a fair bit, because she said she rarely makes someone one of her real friends and I'm one of them. The thing is wee never met each other in person because she lives like 4 hours away from me if you take the fastest possible train line, so it's difficult for both of us and I dumped her a few times already because I just couldn't make it I mean it also costs money to travel such a distance...

Well now she invited me to come with her and a few other friends of her to the GamesConvention in Leipzig which is like 500km away from here. One of her friends would drive us all there by car. My mum would not allow that, I know that for sure... I mean I wouldn't even allow my own child to make a trip like that with total strangers... I made up a waterproof coverup story for the weekend which just has one problem...
I would come home at 1am or so with school at 7am so of course it would be very suspicious and my mum would be obviously very pissed.....

I don't feel well about the whole thing, I don't even care about the convention, I just want to meet her at least once...

However I really have a bad feeling, I mean if you really thing about it even she is a total stranger for me, how can I know if she really is like I got to know her over the internets, along with the other people who I totally don't know....

The other thing is, the guy who will drive us is like 22 years old, I don't want to say young people are bad drivers but I ofter hear of groups of young people who die in car accidents in the news....

I totally don't know what to do, on the one hand it seems totally the wrong thing to do, on the other hand I totally want to meet her and I guess if I dump her this time again she will be REALLY pissed.....

its really upto you isn't it? Not all internet people are bad. Not all 20 something drives are terrors.

And, going to Liepzig would be absolutely awesome.

Hell, i met one of my best friends on the interent (an "educational" site that linked all the schools in my county).

What's the worst that could happen...she doesn't know you well enough to think you worth kidnapping :P

If you like her you will go,. or its really really complicated,. O_o,..  but distance and money won't stand in the way of love,. i dunno,. you just being friends,. or did you say you really like her,. !?

I'd feel a little uncomfortable with the driver.  I'd prefer to go there myself.  You're 18 right?  Can you take some form of public transport there?  If worst case happens, at least you know your way back.

you could try asking your mother. Unless it is you that is uncomfortable.
If you don't want to go why not just say something like I won't be able to make it but lets meet (go on a date whatever ahead of time.) and plan it for soon, before the thing.

I would laugh though if she introduces you to her boyfriend, after you went all that way.

It's like a DOUBLE opportunity! Leipzig man, that would be awesome, plus you get to meet this person you've actually already met years ago.

I would go for it. Besides, if the guy's 22 that means he's probably been driving for 4 years, and pretty much gotten the hang of it. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid like drink you should be fine.

Of course, it is a bit risky, and your mom won't like it. But then again, your mom won't understand either.

The getting home part might be harder than it seems because if your mom gets worried about you at midnight before school she may call the cops or something, so I guess you do need to convince her if you want to go without being in deep spoon for half a year...

I've got a great idea.
Convince your mom this is an opportunity to get out of her house and get laid.

She won't mind. She will think of it as a way she won't have to spen anymore money on you.
