Apparently, the RIAA has just been pwned. Nine Inch Nails, a band that has offered their music for download for a long time on their website nin.com, has now posted 3 tracks ("Capital G", "My Violent Heart", and "Me, I'm Not.") on The Pirate Bay, in multitrack format. This means you can mix the music as you wish because it hasn't been burned into one track yet.

There hasn't been a reaction from the entertainment companies yet, but the fact that artists themselves are liking Bittorrent/TPB is a good sign, right?

wow, artist sharing there own music on torrents..
what's next?? sony selling psp's with custom firmware?
the best part is its multitrack, so not only do you get the music but its fudgeing easy to remix it. I wish every band did this :D
Trent knows, if you're a fan, you bought the album,(just for the 'Halo'), not before you enjoyed the leak...

Time will feed upon your weaknesses
And soon you'll lose the will to care
When you return to the place that you call home
Wee will be there, wee will be there...

"Only",from 'With Teeth' was also released 'multi-track' for Apple Garageband, DigiDesign ProTools, Ableton Live, and Sony Acid...

That would be like Present Bush Selling crack outside of the White house Hahaha
Hmm... that's cool, don't even know who they are.
The thing about signed artists is that they make next to nothing on album sales. MAYBE $0.10.

They make all their real money on concerts and merchandise.

I'm still sort of surprised they were able to do this legally, but I totally support it all the way. I would love to have some master recordings of my favorite bands.
I wish more artists would do this too.
