Art. Lebedev has finally specified a release date and price for the Optimus Maximus. As you all know, having been connected to the internet for more than 3 days, the Optimus is a keyboard that consists of OLED keys. Yes, tiny displays in every key. What you may not know, is that it has been delayed and delayed and delayed and delayed even more, and now they have decided also to release a keyboard with some standard keys and optional OLED keys sold seperately.

The complete keyboard will be released at the end of November this year and they will make 200 pieces. They will cost 1564 USD each. Earlier, they said it would be 1490. Even earlier they said it would be the price of a modern cell phone. Anyway, in September they will make another 200 pcs and another 400 in January. As you can see this is not for the casual gamer or photoshopper...

Even if I had that kind of money just laying around and nothing better to do with it, I still wouldn't spend that much money on a freakin keyboard.
