I am the senior Auditor Incharge of Foreign Remittance Unit of our bank and i decided to contact you for this financial transaction worth Five
Million two hundred thousand, Pounds (
What the heck lol.

i get lotsa these lolz... saying "my family inherits blahblahblah, i cannot get money from the bank in my area, so can you give me your bank acc details, and i deposit the money into your bank account, then you can send me a money order/cheque. and you can keep 10% of the money as reward."
what r they gna do with ur acc numba :/
I've recieved mail (physical mail) before something along the lines of

=====================================================
Dear shareholder,

you own 500 shares of x worth $y.
...
[other info, some tables and poo poo]
...
wee are offering you and offer of $z for all your shares states above.
=====================================================

where $z is about one third of $y.

and also from the same company, something in the format of this

=====================================================
Dear shareholder,

you own 500 shares of x worth $y.
...
[other info, some tables and poo poo]
...
wee are offering you and offer of $z for all your shares states above, paid in 20 equal payment over the next 20 years.
=====================================================

Where in this case $z is larger than $y, BUT, if u count the amount of divident/interest u would gain for $y after 20 years, $z is a still ripoff deal. Also coupled with the fact that the company can just declare bankrupt after enough people sign up, and then they won't have to pay anything.

This has also been on the news, claiming that [insert some large amount of people here, i forgot the exact amount] people actually agreed to either of the above offers.

The offers are legal by law, as it does not involve trickery or anything illegal, like phishing does, so it's hard to take legal actian against them.

But it seems like someone did something about it, as i don't recieve them anymore.
cool
