as most of you  probably know i have a bit of a knack for breaking portable electronics. well my most recent victim is my pendrive. i was creating a new folder when i noticed a load of oddly named folders. i check the properties and the add up to  over 400GB (its only a 2gb pendrive)  so  i back everything up and format the drive to get rid of the corruption. 'Windows cannot format this drive. Format failed'  double you tee eff????!!!!! so i try again, same. again in FAT16 instead of FAT32, same. try quick instead of full format, same. so i take it out and try everything on my brothers computer, same. by now I'm really getting a bit angreh. so i take it  out and slam it down on the desk just  to vent a bit of frustration. i thought, 'well the pendrive is already broken so there's no harm in bashing it around a bit. in fact it  would be quite satisfying to see it break into lots of little pieces'. unfortunately, it didn't break up into lots of little pieces, but when i plugged it back into the computer to see if my bashing had had any effect, IT WORKED!!!!1!!!!. its now formatted  with FAT32  and working fine.

goes to prove the old saying: 'when in doubt, give it a clout.'

Yeah, teaching electronics who's boss works when they're trying to fake it :P
at my workplace, wee have on till that never works, it just randomly cuts out.
Usually, wee just have to wait for it, but the queue was huge, so i just hit it to see if it would work. Lo and behold, it came back to life.

When i did my work expreience at a computer firm that was one of the first things i was taught.
there is a limit though. you should take a look at my computer too see what i mean. from various kickings I've, dented a side panel, cracked a plexiglass window, broken a cold cathode, cracked the front bezel,  broken the reset button, snapped a blade off one of the fans, and dislodged my graghics card on many occasions leading to BSOD's. htis is one of the reasons why i have to re-install xp  once every 2 months or so...

oh, and in other news i have a new phone, whick I've already broken (battery cover won't stay on without the aid of blu-tack. also, i took my mp3 player to the beach last weekend (bad idea) it  was in my pocket next to my (old) phone. some sand muts have blown in or something because where the phone  was  resting against the mp3 player is now scratched to pieces. even worse  though is the  scratched-to-pieces area is the screen!!!! WHY???!!! i can no longer read text if its on the right hand side of the screen. my dad is going to see if he can get a small shit of polycarbonate from work so i can replace the  scratched piece. if not I'll just cut up an old cd and peel off the silvering.
i did that with a mouse the other day..... the bastard left clicker wouldn't work so i slammed it against the table and it worked..... then i got really pissed off at my computer being poo poo so i slammed it again and it broke.... forever
