Endless Paradigm

It's broken - someone get a new lightbulb and fit it in.

I only have old lightbulbs.  I don't have any energy efficient ones.

energy efficient lightbulbs are actually bad for the environment due to the mass amounts of mercury and other substances in them.


Good for now, bad for later. ("Who cares, by then it will be their problem.")

I agree.  Hence, I won't be voting for the NZ Green Party, who have just passed a LAW stating that from the end of 2009 no incandescent lightbulbs will be imported and everyone will HAVE to switch to energy-efficient lightbulbs.
