Wifi must be activated regardless position of the switch.
The memory stick icon must change from one that says internal when the switch is down. Memory stick when it is up.
So yeah it would need a custom topmenu plugin to.

You should request that somewhere else, but I think that has more to do with the hardware than anything else. You could try opening your PSP IF you have experience.
