...that tracks a URL activity so that it may inform you of change. Like right now I'm keeping and eye on a thread that posts the development of a certain thing, and I want to be informed without clicking on the page every day.
I would'nt mind if it was a program I have to pay for.
I remember a Firefox plugin doing that for you.
Do you mean something like an RSS feed??
I've never really dealt with RSS feed so I would have no idea. Doesn't the page need to be compatible? I'm pretty sure it isn't. A plugin might work...
Threads here have RSS. All vBulletin and SMF (and probably IPB) forums should have them (dunno about phpBB), so the majority of forums out there should have RSS...
On here, the RSS grabs topics posted in a forum.
Alternative is subscription (sends an email every time something is updated) - you could use that with RSS (ie GMail) or your email client.
I subscribed. For some reason that option flew over my head. O.o
But I really don't check my email that often so...

If you have Hotmail, only thing you can really do is Outlook or Thunderbird+Webmail, and get them to periodically check your email (they'll notify you if you have new mail).
If you have GMail, you can grab an RSS feed of the inbox, or use any mail client to get updates for you.
Have no idea about other mail services.
(just sign up for GMail even if it's only just for the ability to have RSS updates or use it with a POP mail client)
I'll be sure to look into it.
Thanks for the concern!!!

There's a plugin that works with 2.0. Dunno about 3.0. It was a hog on my computer. I shall go search.
I have 2.0 so I wouldn't mind.
