Endless Paradigm

Quick question for knowledgeable persons...  when I use Resurssiklunssi to decompress an RCO (created from a 3.71 ptf theme using ptf2rco.exe on the commandline) and then use RCOEdit to open up the created RCO, it's unable to decompress the wallpaper (RCOEdit says it is still RLZ encrypted).  This is reproducible with several PTFs I tried.  Am I doing something incorrectly, is there some other way to decrypt it, or is it simply impossible to extract a piece of wallpaper from an older theme?  I'd hate to see this one die.  I attached the RCO and the original PTF.

The reason I need to extract the wallpaper is because the theme is dead and the author isn't contactable, and I'd like to update my psp to a newer firmware than 3.71 (and I refuse to upgrade without my theme... petty, I know :p).  

Any insights?

u have to do some trick on this. check the ptf structure thread in dev. section

Thank you!  I'll check more into the PTF structure thread again; I couldn't get my head wrapped around it the first time.  Thanks so much for taking the time to help out.  Now I can upgrade my firmware at last~

Ehh, I think I made a workaround with ptf2rco, but I've posted a number of different versions of it, I don't know which one you got.
This one is my latest version, so ya... http://endlessparadigm.com/upload/ptf2rco.rar

Note that this work around allows you to push it through Z33's tool so that it decompresses, though RCO Editor won't really be able to identify it.  When you do open the decompressed RCO, select the wallpaper, and extract as a GIM image, then rename it to a .bmp file.

Just retested converting it with the linked version of ptf2rco, ZingaBurga... turns out I must have had an older version of ptf2rco after all.  The background was deflated correctly in RCOEdit on this attempt.  It all worked great, exactly as you said.  Thanks again for the help! :)
