Endless Paradigm

Well, next April or May, me and my friend Nickie are planning on going to Europe for a few weeks! Wee're gonna start researching and saving now, so wee'll have a nice pool of spending money by the time wee go.

You know, when I told my parents about our idea, I honestly expected a huge religious backlash about the perils of two opposite-sexed people going on a trip far away from home together. (Honestly, wee'll both be adults, and wee've been friends this long, and wee can control ourselves lol.) Anyway, I was expecting a whole "YOU'RE GIVING THE APPEARANCE OF SIN AND YOU'LL LEAD OTHERS ASTRAY" argument, as is typical of my Conservative-Christian parents. But instead, my mom was all "Oh that's a wonderful idea! You guys could go hiking in the mountains, go to Venice, it'll be great!" and I was so shocked I didn't even say anything for like 10 seconds.

Anyway, wee're planning on flying to England, then from there taking trains and boats around the country. It would save us money, and give us a chance to see the sights. So far, wee're planning on England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and possibly France and Holland.

I also want to get a dSLR before I go, as HDR pics in the European countryside = fukkin EPIC. It's a bit of a dream of mine.

Also, on a side, but somewhat related, note, I'm planning on taking the 08-09 school year off, raise some money so I have a nice little pool of funds to get my life started in fall '09. You know, move out, get my life started. I'm also gonna call a game studio in the area, David Jaffe's (God of war's daddy) new studio called Eat Sleep Play, up in northern Salt Lake City. I've talked with some professional concept artists, and they said that studios look for talent more than degrees, and some places might even help pay for your college.

tl;dr My life is getting into shape, and I'M GOING TO EUROPE.

I just came from europe.

May I suggest Ibiza, Spain. A BEAUTIFUL island and in the summer months it is crowned the clubbing capital of the world. I was just there.

DJs like Tiesto and Benny Benassi go to perform in the clubs there. Really nice place the scenery is EPIC
Also Italy (especially Rome) is pretty dirty, or when I was there.

Oh yeah, Ibiza is THE PLACE TO BE in the Summer, total awesomeness. Last time I was in Ibiza wee went to all the beaches that were on the island, and there are totally amazing scenes to be had.

I also lost my suitcase full of my stuff and never got it back...

Well, you guys realize I'm not going anywhere until next Spring, right? lol. No reason to be wishing me goodbye yet lol.

now that I think about it, Ibiza is bottom right of Spain in the meditaranean sea... the Canaries are on the left and lower down...

Ah, just don't go to the Canaries, its got beaches but that's it, very boring.
