Endless Paradigm

So heres my problem, basically my wifi keeps turning on and off; and this is really a huge problem for me because if im playing a game im dropped instantly. and this happens on a minute basis (so every 5 minutes i have the internet just goes on and off and for about 15 minutes at times if i don't do anything)

obviously i did some investigating myself and when i looked at all the other computers in my house at the time my internet went down; theirs were still going. The only way i could make my internet come back online was by either restarting the computer or repairing the wifi connection. (obviously, i go with the repair function more than the restart for obvious reasons)

I even checked my router settings to see if im being blocked or something out of the ordinary, and i found nothing

So basically ive narrowed it down to my computer is the thing having problems. My computer uses wifi to connect to my wireless router at home.  I don't think it could be a virus (though i didnt virus scan yet..) because i do have a firewall that monitors all internet activity (actually its hella annoying sometimes....)

So the only thing i can think of is that my wifi card is burning out (but ive only been using it for about 3 months now...) or that its a virus on my comp

I seriously don't know what to do in a situation like this, so that's why i need some help

P.S. I seriously don't want to buy another wifi card

Reset the router?
check the signal strength / proximity (As far as I know it does get worse as time goes by)

try the wifi card in another computer if possible. update its drivers and any other drivers whilst you're at it.  you said you'd been using the card for 3 months. if that's the case you shouldn't have any troubles returning it if its faulty
