Endless Paradigm

bought a USB 2.0 pci expansion card
well the box said "plug n' play . no driver needed"

but i still get this message everytime i plug in my usb devices (my psp most often)



*tested my psp on a friends usb 2.0 ... 1.4gb transfer for leik less than 10 mins .
but here on my  "2.0" it takes more than 30mins

any ideas?

EDIT: . yeah i have usb 2.0 drivers installed (got that from my mainboard's cd installer thingy)

perhaps it's not a 2.0 card...
If you have drivers and everything I could think of only that or that your motherboard is crappy and the pci bus speed isn't fast enough to meet 2.0 requirements

it is ... as for the bus speed ... idk... but it did have 2.0 usb's built-in .. only theyr broken now :D

did you install the necessary drivers? i.e USB 2.0 drivers? some mobos (older) do not have that pre-installed. so that might be a problem.

i did ...

can i get some generic usb drivers though? ... cause the drivers that came with the mobo isn't working i think...

hmm...I had a similar prob with my usb 2.0 that came with my computer
I reinstalled the driver but it did not help but the next thing I tried was to look through the BIOS
and for some reason my usb 2.0 had been disabled and was being treated as a 1.0 so I turn it back on and prob solve
So, my suggestion is look thru your BIOS

don't recall seeing a 2.0 disable thingy in my bios...
