Are they seriously seriously asking for 150???? No way I would pay that! £60 max! I'd speak to a supervisor or something! I work in retail (as did you, soz about that) and I know that things can be done if you kick up enough stink Get it fixed for cheaper it's possible.

Hmmm just realised you said dollars so it's not really that expensive. About what £70 seems fair. Tooooo many good games on the way to miss!

edit: Don't really know why I'm so hyped about sony cause i wanted in game tracks in pixel junk. Like I saw in the preview movie for the firmware, might I add come on sony what the fudge !!!!

that's what i heard, but that could have been awhile back, so they may not charge that much now, some say i don't look no older than 30, i guess i get that from my mom and dad, may they rest in peace,, i have been playing video games since the atari 2600 and so on, some days i feel twice that age and other days, not to bad, but on too the ps3, it just has me puzzled why it reads the ps2 and ps1 games dvd's and cd's.fine, but takes a while to read the ps3 games, they are  made fer the ps3.sometimes i have too insert the game two three maybe four times before it will read them, but once it does, they play just fine

lulz then idk what it could be, perhaps they're scratched, a buddy that lives downstairs says his games don't play well (the ones he rents) prolly cause their scatched, its pretty rational to imagine blu-ray to be more sensitive to scratches than any other format

the blu-ray games are in perfect shape, there is no scratches on them and the ps2 games i have , they have some scratches, but it reads them all, except batman begins, which i bought used and someone resurace on it and it tries to read it but so far nothing, but all the other games it reads fine, i guess I'll call sony and see what they say

well i contacted sony and the guy said that i would need to send it in for service, $149.00, 7 to 10 wating period,, bo shipping charge, it's not bad , if you have the money, which i don't, so, i guess I'll try and sell some stuff on ebay, maybe I'll get the money together that way, idk,from what i read the laser sends out three different beams, one for each of the formats, maybe the blue laser for the ps3 games, has gotten knocked out of whack

well after talking to sony twice and get feedup with there b s about costing 149.00 to fix it, i took it apart and found out what was wrong with it, just needed the laser lens cleaned, the cd/dvd lens cleaner didn't do poo poo for it. so after cleaning the lens and putting it back together, it work perfect now,, reads some of the games and cd's now when it didn't before, just a good cleaning was all it needed
