well.... to be honest.... it is just a waste to put anime on a blu-ray disk.... escaspically...... only 3-4 eps per disk.... lol... really... i dun really see a point for the HD version of anime... unless may be a Hentai.... lol

lol hentai...
anyway my opinion on this is... as long as a video file is 640X480 that's good enough for me i can just use the tv media player i have and it uses a filter like a regular tv would make for sizing up so it looks just fine. this blu ray spoon is just stupid IMO if an anime company wanted to make hd video files they could do it via a regular dvd (3 gb dvd) and just make the eps about 1024X768 and such that would be all that anyone would need, and they could keep it at the same price, because all your doiing is paying 20 dollars more so that that company can switch the quality and size of a video, witch is just stupid.

I would only pay for a Blu-ray anime if it was the entire season, but alas as assassinator pointed out; they only put about 3-4 episodes and OVA's cost 50$$ each one. Some examples are a Dragon Ball Z DVD (LOL! i know what you're thinking; they have 7 episodes all togther that show goku charging up :P; A possible name for such a dvd would be "DRAGON BALL Z: CAN GOKU GO SUPER SAYAIN?) and the tales anime series as ova's that cost 50$$ each
yeah, the world is pretty cheap these days

~2GB for a movie is quite small for HD. I thought the average was around 10GB for a movie. (crazy bitrates)

The most popular BluRay titles that are noted have extremely high production value.
CoMiX Wave Films make some incredibly detailed productions for Anime - I'd definitely shell out the money for any Makoto Shinkai BluRay release.
