Just found this browsing around the net, and thought I would post it for those who didn't know:

Quote:The Windows Media Player has a built in server to allow painless streaming of .mp3 files on a Windows computer to the PS3 over a typical household network.

In Windows Media Player click
Library -» Media Sharing...
check the 'Share my Media to' box.

The Unkown Device icon in the setup screen is the networked PS3.

On the PS3 main menu, the photo, music and video sections should now show the Windows Media Player icon.

Drill into the Media Player Icon on the PS3 music menu and choose some songs.

Press the square button on the PS3 controller to switch to the Ghia visualization.
