the only problem with M2M is that the only song where you can jump around and go crazy is given up..... unlike the more heavy style of hybrid theory where moshing is an obligation, and it lacks in character..... like the gritty, urban feel meteora has...... linkin park tried to get a new sound but in the end M2M was pretty much fail........ it would be best to go back to their old style if they are to do another album.....
Linkin Park just needs to stop after the lump of poo poo that was Minutes to Midnight. I mean, their older rage-y style was so much better, and imo, more distinctive.

It gets so much hate, when musically its still a lot better than a lot of stuff released

it WAS bad, I agree with AllMusic's assessment for once.

Quote:So, Linkin Park decided to embrace the inevitable and jumped head-first into maturity on Minutes to Midnight, which meant that poor Mike Shinoda was effectively benched, rapping on just two songs. In many ways, it seems like even the guitarists were benched this time around, since Minutes to Midnight doesn't really rock, it broods. Apart from a handful of ringers -- "Given Up," the Shinoda-fueled "Bleed It Out," easily the best, most visceral track here -- this is quiet, atmospheric stuff, dabbling with electronic textures that were cutting edge in 1996 but sound passé now.

And it doesn't sound better... its a shame that good, more unheard of bands don't get the limelight they deserve.

im not saying it was better...quite the oposite. All im saying is that for all its changes, its still better than a lot of other mainstream stuff.

I think wee may just have to disagree here though in that case
all bands tend to lose their shine after a while....

     rhcp-stadium arcadium........ spoon

foo fighters-echoes silence patience grace......... spoon(at least for long road to ruin)

i hear metallica's newer stuff doesn't compare to their old stuff......
I liked Stadium Arcadium (well, enough tracks to pay for it at least)

And don't forger muse, BHAR was abysmal
stadium arcadium doesn't come close to blood sugar sex magik though.....

the main problem with the album is that people who never liked rhcp before were obsessed with after and they acted like bigger fans of them than the people who liked the chilis before they were that cool......
Senseito Sakura Wrote:Projekt Revolution is a Tour they are doing, maybe they done an LPU EP under the name.

Collision Course is a mix... it would've been better if they done a Reanimated II for Metora.

The piece of spoon known as Minutes to Midnight never deserves to get mixed, it can't even BE mixed.

You heard correctly, but let's wait till fall for Death Magnetic too see if Metallica can "redeem" themselves.....

I agree Stadium Arcadium isn't as big as their older albums but I still like some of the songs....

The new foo fighters album is awesome!!! So I have to disagree there.....

and yes roberth the Muse album BHAR was totally against pre-said albums!!! This one was:

1. Way too much synth.
2. Not enough piano.
3. Not enough guitar.
4. Not enough bass.
5. Not enough politics.
6. Not enough rawness (in sound - OoS)
7. Not enough ROCK!!!!
8. Too many "anthem" type songs!!!
9. Many many many other things!!!

By the way I went to see them live at Wembley!! :P
Damn you, even after that travesty i would have given my soul, and everyone else in my families to go

I bet it was awesome :@

and yeah. OoS was pure win in a bun
Bliss, New Born, Plug in Baby...so much music, so little CD
