Ok, i have just put a close to the worst hour of my psp career...all week i have been flashing between ofw4.00 and 3.90m33 and 3.95gen in hopes of getting more prx/rco of 4.00

Well this morning all hell broke loose and after pandora-ing back to 3.90 when it booted up immediately it said 'UMD Could Not Be Read'  double you tee eff... and my screen was VERY interlaced.

So after talking with MaDc0w and reading the net it seems my idstorage was busted, so I started scouring my drives and sticks i found a 360OFW-nand-dump.bin on my pandora stick...I wasn't sure if it was mine, ibawanzingee's, or a friend here in town..so i made a new nand dump then restored the one i had found...

OMG IT WAS MINE!!!  And now my psp slim is back to brand new on OFW 3.60!  Aha

My suggestion to everyone, whether you know all there is to know about the psp or not....IF YOU Don't HAVE A BACKUP, DUMP YOUR NAND AND SAVE IT NAOW!!!  I have flashed between 3.9x and 4.00 about a dozen times this week without a problem, and i do not know why it failed today, but i was very woried i would have to trade my silver slim for a new one that doesn't make pandora batteries :( But now all is good because before installed 3.60m33 i RTFM'd and made the nand backup as suggested!!!

HOORAY FOR SATURDAY
wheres my tree...i need to smoke it
glad you got it working.

Specky
lol. Lesson learned.

I have both my bro's and my PSP's nand stored away in Mediafire and I keep my 3.90-3.95 GEN copy on my stick just in case.
i just stumbled on http://www.adrive.com ... 50gb of free secure storage :O  seems like it may be good ;)

i always have at least 2 nand backups in various locations. i don't do much as i used to with my psp but its handy to know that the one time i will need it - it will be there. :)
hey you should give some basic instructions for the noobs.... lol though there arent many at ep.. this isn't QJ LOL
i have had an nand dump since 3.71M33...admittedly, i never updated it after, but meh
No need to update all the time, just be sure you have one and KNOW WHERE IT IS and what psp it is for  LOL
