i was browsing around being bored a few minutes ago and found the legal threats page on ThePirateBay.org. the responses that these guy's give to the big a$$ lawyers in americaland is just astounding.

how the hell do these guy's get away with it? I'm trying not to take sides here but i want to know how they do it...
they probably know everything there is to know about their position. and must mean they can, and will, do what the fudge they like within their boundries.

And that is exactly why lot of torrent sites haven't been taken down.
shame i live in the uk. i must move to iceland. like sweden except nicer. wee have a friend who lives there. he's a ceo of one of the telephone companies there, so they get free crazy fast broadband. his son has chocolateloads of stuff from torrents (in the hundreds of gigabytes region). it seems slightly ironic that the son of a telecoms company ceo is such a heavy illegal downloader. whether its illegal in iceland, i don't know. hopefuly not because i don't want to see this guy go down.

even If they are online my Isp (comcast) blocks torrents...
They don't let us use them because they don't want to get sued for it

Im not in school any more, but instead of writing it, i screamed it at the top of my lungs on the last day of school :D
I'm surprised BT haven't just chucked me off their service yet..... i remember it saying on the radio not too long ago that they would crack down on illegal downloads but pretty much everything i get now is illegal........ i am not going to pay for cd's i can download for free so the government(who get most of the profit anyway) can go do what TBP.org said.........
one thing which also rules is that my parents are well aware of my illegal activity and do not care..... ^_^
