A little story... an inpiring bit that I got in mail long back...

Now I aint religious or anything, but appreciate the bigger picture..

God and Human

Once a new student enrolled for a philosophy lecture. Being new, he was understandably kind of nervous but carried himself with pride and confidence. That particular day's lecture about "Religion: Myth and Science".. being a rather spiritual person, the student was quite keen for the lecture to begin.

The Professor conducting the lecture was, it was cleared withing 5 minutes into the lecture, a man of Science, through and through. So much so that he refused existence of "God" as mere natural phenomena currently outside current day Science's capability, but answerable in near future... He elaborated on this point till he had practucally all the attendees converted.

As is the trend, he then pointed to the new student and asked him:

"So do you still believe in "God's" existence?" The student looked around, observing the shaking heads of his peers..
"Yes, sir. I do believe in God's existence." Everyone in the class, students and Prof, were silenced for a while, then erupted into laughter. The student stood his ground and just smiled!

"Alright young man.. tell me," the prof began. "Have you ever seen your God?"
"No sir," the student replied.
" Have you touched him?"
" No sir."
" Or perhaps heard his voice?"
" No sir."
" Then how about felt his touch?"
" no sir"
" Have you realised his presence in any physical sense at all?"
" No sir"
" Then it can be proved that since such an entity which cannot be seen, smelt, touched, heard or cause any perceivable physical characteristic in physical world, that entity cannot be proved to exist. And hence you "God" cannot exist!" The Prof. was jubilant and smiled amidst scattered applause...
" So now do still believe in God, even after listening to my logic?"
" With all due respect sir, your logic has convinced me even more that a God might actually exist!"
" Explain your self.. I will humor your rudeness!"
" Well sir, I will! I would like to ask you sir...

Is there "light"?"
"Obviously, what a stupid question!"
" My apologies sir.. How about "Dark?" is there anything like it?"
" Perhaps you wish to insult me? But to humor your question yes!
"How about Heat sir? and Cold?
" Yes and Yes.. can wee finish this drama now?"
" Sorry sir... but I would like to ask the entire class one question before I conclude and present my argument. may I sir?"
" hmph.."
" can anyone in this class room please tell me these three things:
1> How large is the professor's brain's capacity to hold information?
2> How much wisdom and knowledge is stored in it and can be extracted
3> How does his brain occur to your senses, in terms of smell, sight, touch, taste etc.?"

the student waited upon a very dumbstruck class for a minute, said "thank you" and turned towards the Prof.

" Sir, highly respecting you and your wisdom, but I cannot accept your logic as it is severely flawed!"
" I will give you one minute to explain yourself, then ask you to leave my class!"
" Yes sir. Firstly sir, I must contradict your beliefs about dark and cold.
There is no such thing as "Dark". it is a term wee use to indicate absence of light! Similarly, there is no physical entity or substance like cold. It is a term to denote absence of heat which, like light is a form of energy!

Furthermore sir, no one in the class can attest to how much information your brain can store, it being of a finite size will have reached its maximum capacity long ago, due your immense research, possibly erasing older and basic information just as one would wipe clean a slte to reuse it.
Also, no can verify the actual knowledge and wisdom that you may have as wee have no means to extract knowledge as one would extract juice from a fruit!
My final argument is that no one in the class has sensed you brain. Going by your own logic, since your brain cannot be sensed, it must not exist and hence I cannot accept your logic about absence of God!

I do not mean to insult you sir..  on the contrary I highly respect you. But I am sorry to say that I cannot accept yo point of view, but strengthen my own!"

The person was went on to become the President of one of the worlds largest country...
