Read this article first.
That article talks about a mob of african-american kids that terrorized Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on June 1, stealing from and beating white residents in the neighborhood. When a reporter was talking with a police officer about it, he asked if there would be any hate crime legislation against these black teenagers for their obviously race-motivated crimes. The officer responded saying that there was no law for that, that whites are an 'unprotected class'. This makes me sick.
Now, before I start ranting, let me tell you that I am a very tolerant person. I've had numerous friends of various races, and race is not a basis for judging a person in my eyes. I mean, my mother's best friend back where she used to live, a man I've considered like an uncle, is gay and African American. I myself am a melting pot of races, but mostly Jewish, and my friends know all too well how much I joke about it :D
But what I can't stand is obvious racism that gets excused by popular media simply because the racists in question are of a darker skin color. As the author of that article said, there isn't going to be a Million-Man March in protest of black-on-white racism, Al Sharpton's not gonna say a damn thing, and life goes on. Can you imagine what would happen if a group of white teens went to Harlem or East LA and did something like this against black people? Wee'd never hear the end of it. Those teenagers would go down in history as white supremacists.
RACISM IS RACISM REGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR. YOU HATE WHITES, YOU'RE A RACIST. YOU HATE BLACKS, YOU'RE A RACIST.
This whole thing makes me feel ill, especially now that Obama is most likely our next president. A man that called his racist grandmother "a typical white person," a man that was taught by a pastor that thinks AIDS was invented to kill blacks, a man who hates whites is going to be our next president. I don't care that he's black, I care that he's so obviously racist. And this poo poo will continue, and minority gangs will still beat white people with the obvious racial implications overlooked.
Life will go on, and it makes me sick.
