Quote[Image: GeForce_8600_GTS.jpg]The GeForce 8600 and 8500 got Nvidia's official blessing today. The two new video cards are mid-range alternatives to the mighty GeForce 8800, bringing DirectX 10 and HD support to your PC at a lower price. At the top sits the GeForce 8600 GTS ($199-$229) with a 675MHz core, 32 shader processors, and 2GHz memory speeds while the 8500 GT ($89-$129) packs a pokier 450MHz core with 800MHz memory speeds.

There will also be a slightly less expensive 8600 GT ($149-$159) with 540MHz clock and 1.4GHz memory. The folks at PNY should be one of the first to offer the cards (considering yesterday's leak). Now all wee got to do is sit back and wait for ATI's response.

Ah cool, and I just got my new laptop 'Nvidi GForce Go 7600' 256 MB.

All games work perfect, tried battlefield 2 at highest resolution it can and still works almost perfect (almost: I got WMP 11 and WLM 8 running :P)

So I don't need a newer card yet! :)
I need to get a new card.

All I have is 64 MB internal! :(

What kind of connection does the card accept. I can't tell.
i want a new card, I've got an nvidia Geforce (not sure which one) and its 256 but hell ill by a new one just for the hell of it :D :P
Hrm...that is good news, but not for me. I just spent two hundred dollars on two 7600 GTs to replace a dying 6200. Oh well, I don't even really get full use of the setup I've got now.
I want one but my cpu is too slow for games. i usually just use my laptop which has nvidia gforce 7600.
hmmm i recently switched to a pci-e motherboard and i had to buy the cheapest graphics available because of lack of money, which is a Sapphire Radeon X300SE 256mb. which is like a gf 6200LE or something. i used to have a geforce 6800 AGP @ 128mb but this is no improvement. i spent about $280 on it a few years ago when it was just released, and i must say i don't regret it. but now i need a new one, i was thinking about a midrange one this time instead of a 9900 which would cost me a fortune, but ill just have to see the recommended specs for GTA 4...

also ever since i had a pc i have quadrupled the amount of video ram on the graphics card every time i upgraded, first i had a 8mb onboard, then 32mb PCI gf4mx, then 128mb gf6, so now maybe 512mb gf8 (also i skip one series of geforce everytime :P so its time to upgrade)
