music can really make the game... without it all you have is a shell... i really like the mgs games for audio.... mgs2 had a techbo theme and the jungle noises in mgs3 were amazing...
A game with a terrible soundtrack is sometimes considered unplayable by me. The Castlevania games are known for having top quality music and Harmony of Dissonance had a AWFUL soundtrack. Bad sounding chiptunes don't help guys. Even if you were to play it ignoring the horrible music, the game is pretty poor anyway! The music is a good indicator of what is a bad game in a sense!

Lament of Innocence is an exception though. The soundtrack rocked, but the game sucked. IGA needs to learn that copy/pasting several rooms doesn't make a game.
music is the only reason why i play rpg,  i <3 music.

Harmony Of Dissonance wasn't that bad. it was probably the worst 2d cv out, but i would still place it far abovemost 2d side scrollers released for gba, and you know you would aswell

However, i will grant that its soundtrack was vomit inducingly bad

I always loved the FF series, i usually got distracted by the music.

Yeah I can agree with it being better than most games on the GBA. But Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow are much much better games.

Oh yeah to further prove my emphasis that music makes a good game, take a look at the R-Type series. R-Type Delta is the best (And only good game) in the series and it had the best soundtrack. On the other hand, R-Type Final had a boring soundtrack, and as a result is considered one of the worst in the series (A pretty overall, sorry series mind you.)
