PSPkiller Wrote:no worries,

i downloaded BitTorrent and that seems to be working fine. it veeeery similar to uTorrent. Then again uTorrent is based on BitTorrent. except uTorrent is smaller and portabler

Do NOT use BitTorrent. use uTorrent (version 1.6, not 1.7). It's MUCH better. BitTorrent has no encryption at all whatsoever, and like Roberth said, it's owned by a company, a company that happens to be in bed with the RIAA. uTorrent, after version 1.6, was bought by BitTorrent, so just use 1.6 or earlier.
but if you download from private trackers, check if whatever bt client u use, is compatible with their tracker.

you can try out Deluge.. its a new bt client.. very nice..

uTorrent will work with most, if not all, private trackers.

And Deluge isn't as great as they've advertised.
I use deluge (if only in Linux) its worthwhile!

uTorrent obviously is the most preferred bt client.. but I meant that if he is going to use another client, it would be wise to establish compatibility/.
If you use PG2, unblock BitTorrent Inc when it gets blocked.

Also, allow whatever ports uTorrent uses with firewalls.

On top of that, use encryption and try it on new torrents. Not all the sites update the seed/leech count regularly, or in real-time.
Lol yeh its prob your router settings either something is blocking your tracker or you havnt set it all up prop
