Endless Paradigm

Surely you've seen 2001: A Space Odyssey? No? You really should, it's an awesome Kubrick movie.

HAL-9000 is the self-aware computer system on board the space ship and he goes crazy and kills everyone in the hibernation storage compartments. My avatar is a picture of his eye. Basically, I just want the glowing red part of it to glow brighter, then dimmer, and all over again. That really shouldn't be a problem, just up the brightness in each gif frame and then reverse.

There are numerous better size and quality pictures of HAL on google image search if you want a better source to work with.
